In the CONCACAF Gold Cup, the United States team has won 6 championships. The first Golden Cup was won by the US team in 1991, and they also won in 2002, 2005, 2007, 2013 and other years. In the Confederations Cup, the United States team won third place in 1992, third place again in 1999, and second place in 2009.
